The egg cup could use a better closure system, as the egg yolks, even when pierced prior to cooking, tend to explode, and the lid tends to open just enough to shoot egg white goo around the microwave. The bacon cooker is great and we use it for defrosting meats, steaming chicken, and reheating anything that tends to spatter.

(More customer reviews)I can't believe this is really a Sunpentown brand. I have one of their induction cooktops so I looked for their brand of pot to be sure it would work. It was the flimsiest pan I have ever seen. However, I didn't worry becasue I remembered a rating that said that they were worried when they got it but that it worked like a dream. However, this thing sucked! It was impossible to cook without everything, including the pan, burning... It was either not cooking on Med or burning on Med High. Big waste of $$$ and time. Not enough money to warrant trying to return but don't waste your time or money.

(More customer reviews)I have had one of these cookers for about 10 years. I bought it to fry turkeys. I wanted the most stable cooker I could find, and this seemed to fit the bill.
The circular base, the deep recessed area over the burner where the pot sits, and the fact that the entire frame of the unit is one solid piece makes it very stable and strong.
No worry about legs digging into soft ground and tilting, etc. The working mechanism is about as simple and foolproof as possible, just a burner and the L.P. regulator.
It sits low to the ground which makes it easy to lower the turkey into the pot, which of course makes it safer to use. It is also very portable. I believe it is the perfect cooker for my occasional turkey fry.

(More customer reviews)IRON PANS ARE GREAT, BUT THIS PAN WASN'T SEASONED PROPERLY. IT SEAMS AS IF THEY RUBBED SOME GREASE ONTO IT, AND CALLED IT SEASONED. I EVEN PLACED THE PAN IN THE OVEN TO HELP SEASON IT MORE, AND ALL I GOT WAS A LOT OF SMOKE IN MY HOUSE. IT TOOK HOURS TO GET THE SMOKE OUT.
I ALSO FIND THAT THEY RUST VERY EASILY. MY OLD, OLD PAN WORKS PERFECTLY. I WIPE IT OUT WITH A DAMP DISH TOWEL, USE A PAPER TOWEL TO DRY IT, AND IT IS READY TO USE.

Norpro 5143 Onion Blossom Maker Review

(More customer reviews)I like the fact this was inexpensive, fool-proof (mostly) and was able to help me make something for my family that we love at restaurants. My only 2 complaints may be minor to some but are what caused me not to rate a 5.
1) Shipping cost vs. cost of product are insane. If you can source locally, way better off. For something that came in a box no larger than a softball and weighs less than a pound the shipping was more than the product. Now you are all say, why did you but it then? Well I had 2 other items with supersaver and a gift certificate that covered almost the entire purchase.
2) This is the surprise. The picture really does not do justice to how small this is. I assumed I could use a medium size vidallia onion but even a small one needed trimming and the resulting finished product MUCH smaller than what is in restaurants.
Don't get me wrong, we had fun and it tasted great with one of their included recipes. If it would have been larger, it would have been a five.
