(More customer reviews)I purchased this basket to go with my Bayou Classic 700-701, 4 gallon fryer (see my review). The 2 baskets that come with the Bayou Classic 700-701, 4 gallon fryer are perfect, however, this basket has some serious design problems.
The front hooks on the Bayou Classic 700-188 large stainlesss steel basket are too short and will not let the basket drop to the proper level in the oil. In addition, the hooks themselves are small and don't hold very well on the front basket holding bars. This is especially troublesome because the basket could pop loose on the upper draining bar and fall in and splash oil. The basket itself does not drain oil very well; baskets made of stainless steel mesh drain faster and more complete.
I would avoid this basket and look for a large stainless steel "mesh" style basket from a resturant supply store.
